100 Strangers. The beginning.

I saw a photography project not too long ago where someone took 100 photos of strangers. Then I stumbled upon Humans of New York. WOW. I've become very intrigued by the idea of street photography and photographing individuals I don't know. My first photo was taken in an amazing cafe, Citizen, in Seattle, WA.

Here it is:

I was so nervous. It took almost my whole meal to ask her (with great encouragement from my companions) and I even had to run and grab my camera before I asked her. My heart was racing, I stumbled over my words but once I held the camera up I was so stoked to see what an intensely amazing person I had chosen for my first shot. She laughed a few times and then I took this one.

I got the nerve to do a little more street photography at Pike's Place market and ended up asking 4 more people!

Bricolage: Store of Whimsical Wonders

I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful little shop, Bricolage,  in the heart of downtown Boise last month. It is filled to the brim with all things Idaho, hand-crafted with tiny pops of color. Everything from vintage one-of-a-kinds to handmade local jewelry to baby items can be found in this magical little shop. They not only have pretties for purchase they also have a variety of different workshops! I attended the "How to Make a Terrarium" workshop. A fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon! The workshops are full of how to information and everything you would need to complete your project and more. Please click below on the link to go to their website & check out more of their workshops in addition to shopping their beautiful items!
